A study about <\/span><\/i><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the health-promoting properties of Sanacore\u00ae GM<\/span><\/i><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in farmed seabream has been included in the latest <\/span><\/i><a href=\"https:\/\/issuu.com\/aquafeed.com\/docs\/aquafeed_vol_14_issue_4_october_2022\/44\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Aquafeed Vol 14 Issue 4 2022<\/span><\/i><\/a><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/i><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-835 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/dataomics.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Picture1-232x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"363\" height=\"469\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dataomics.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Picture1-232x300.png 232w, https:\/\/dataomics.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Picture1.png 515w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 363px) 100vw, 363px\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Feed manufacturers and fish farmers are aware of the importance of health-promoting additives to prevent diseases in aquaculture<\/span>\u00a0and maintain successful production. But, are the mechanisms that are responsible for the diminution of the infection known to them?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Genomics, metabolomics, and proteomics, <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b>\u2018Omics\u2019 as we love to call them at DataOmics<\/b><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, can facilitate the characterization and quantification of millions of biological molecules. The genes\u2019 expression and their interaction with them and with other molecules can define the immunocompetence and healthy status of a fish.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-size: 14pt;\">Similarly, the response to diseases, stress and even nutritional challenges can be explored in-depth through the detection and quantification of proteins, including the characterization of their metabolic pathways and interaction patterns.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-size: 14pt;\">Understanding such complex relationships can help identify what happens in the fish under specific conditions. This knowledge can be used to develop more suitable health-promoting products to improve fish health status and productive performance.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b>At DataOmics, we performed shotgun proteomics for Adisseo<\/b><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">,<\/span> to better understand the health-promoting properties of Sanacore\u00ae\u00a0GM in gilthead seabream<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and recollect accurate information about the physiological status of three key tissues <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">of fish health and performance: the anterior intestine, liver, and head kidney.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b>The proteomics analysis carried out by DataOmics<\/b> <b>provided a snapshot into the mechanisms of action of Sanacore\u00ae GM in gilthead seabream under healthy conditions<\/b><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. We shed light on how Sanacore\u00ae GM could improve fish\u2019s ability to ward off illnesses through the modulation of almost 1.500 proteins across the head-kidney, intestine, and liver.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We observed <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">modifications in the level of proteins that participate in important immune functions that are relevant to interconnected mechanisms within innate and acquire immunity.<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b> By the shotgun proteomics<\/b> <\/span><b><span style=\"color: #000000;\">performed at DataOmics<\/span>, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Adisseo demonstrated that Sanacore\u00ae\u00a0GM seabream supplementation stimulates<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> proteins linked with integrity and immune response in the intestine and i<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">mpacted proteins linked with innate and acquired immunity in the liver<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> offering <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">an optimal degree of protection to the fish.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Furthermore, we observed the highest number of altered proteins abundances in the head-kidney in fish-fed Sanacore\u00ae\u00a0GM evidencing the regulation of innate immunity mechanisms such as the destruction of damaged or infected cells via apoptosis and the inhibition of pro-inflammatory cytokines. <\/span><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b>By the shotgun proteomics performed at DataOmics<\/b><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #000000;\">, <\/span><\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.adisseo.com\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Adisseo<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> also demonstrated that <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.adisseo.com\/en\/species\/aqua\/health\/sanacore-gm\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sanacore\u00ae\u00a0GM<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> could enable the elimination of injured cells being a useful resource to restore immunocompetence and support fish in dealing with production conditions.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">You find these results stimulating!
